Northwood, n.h. — The Raider boys placed 13th and the Marauders 20th at the annual Black Bear Invitational.

Kieran Murphy of winning team Oyster River championed the boys race in 16 minutes, 18 seconds, nine ticks ahead of Merrimack Valley’s David Reynolds.

Lebanon’s Cody Davis placed 48th of 186 runners in 18:02, followed by teammates Jake Willeman (60th; 18:16), Edward Bieszczad (61st; 18:18), Peter Maslan (73rd; 18:35) and Zach Herndon (114th; 19:35).

Matthew Bonner (86th; 19:00) led a trio of Marauders running closely together, just ahead of Diego Aspinwall (90th; 19:02) and Eric Goodney (92nd; 19:05). Carter Auch (119th; 19:42) and Jack Robey (122nd; 19:46) also ran for Hanover.

On the girls side, the host Bears prevailed as Milford’s Rebecca Durham won individually in 18:09, a full 59 seconds ahead of runner-up Danielle Slavin, of Oyster River.

Lebanon placed 21st, led by Grace Furling (32nd; 21:22). Abigail Snow (127th; 24:11), Emma Herndon (134th; 24:47), Irina Stan (156th; 25:56) and Ana Goodwin (157th; 25:58) followed for the Raiders.

Hanover, which also competed Saturday at the Maine Festival of Champions, did not field girls varsity runners.
